PROCESS VIDEO: Loose Watercolor Family Portrait

Hi, all! I hope you are doing well and staying healthy! I'd like to share the process video of a VERY loose watercolor portrait I did for a friend of mine.

This is my second time doing watercolor portrait and of course, I had to pick the MOST difficult photo as a reference (white clothing and a dress that cascades) 🤦🏻‍♀️.. As soon as I realized how tricky it was to paint the clothing, it was already too late to back out so, I just went with it and hey, it didn’t turn out so bad after all!

Adding the calligraphy as a finishing touch was definitely a great idea as it complimented the piece nicely so, this piece will be going to its new home soon. I am planning on offering a watercolor commission service soon.

Cheers,

Catherine
